In comparison with other protection utilities EXE Password Protector provides perfect security and guaranties that nobody can run an application without the password. So, an executable file protected by this utility is secured from unauthorized access even when it is copied and launched from another computer. This protection works under all versions of Windows OS and with all file systems (FAT32, NTFS, etc). It doesn’t matter where protected executable file is located (local PC, network, and so on), to launch it you must enter a valid password.
This highly secure and failure-safe protection is achieved by integrating a supplementary code into the executable file. This code contains a password protection mechanism which implements all defensive and authorization functions. This code adds no more than 100 kb to file size and would not cause any damage to the executable file. If you want to ensure that the original executable file is safe, EXE Password Protector lets you create a backup copy of it.
Another feature is a fail-safe protection preventing your system-critical files from locking with a password. otherwise Windows OS may fail during booting and will get you into the trouble as the result.
This password protection software is easy and quick in use. A special wizard guides you through few simple steps and dialogs where you can specify a file you need to protect, a password and other required data. If an executable file is already protected it is still possible to remove the supplementary code and restore initial .EXE file without any harm to it.
